If you ask me which is the best movie I have seen in 2014, without a doubt I will say “Apothikiri” first. Those who complain that there are no good movies in Malayalam should go and watch this movie. This is not an entertainment movie. Anyone can understand it by hearing the name or seeing the stills.. The things in the medical field that are often discussed in front of us are drawn in front of us in the film.
Vijay Nambiar, played by Sureshgopi, is a prominent Neuro Sugeon in a private hospital. Often he has to do as the hospital management tells him to do. Therefore, he has to test new drugs for pharmaceutical companies on many patients. Patients who come to any private hospital are often just products for the hospital management and many doctors. Most of these drug trials are conducted on the very common people who are often unable to pay. This is the subject that this movie is discussing..
Vijay Nambiar can be said to be Sureshgopi’s best character in this movie. I wouldn’t say that Jayasuriya really acted as a patient in this film, I felt that he lived as a patient in every scene. It can be said without a doubt that Asif Ali’s best character. The actor Indrans gave a great performance..
Even after leaving the theater these characters will remain in our minds.. There is no doubt that some scenes will make our eyes tear up.
I don’t know if this movie will be successful financially or not. But if I take the top 10 movies I’ve seen, this movie will be there. Lovers of good movies should not miss this movie from the theater for any reason.
